Connect a wallet
The local reference node supports Ethereum wallet RPC. Start the devnet before adding it to your wallet.
| Wallet field | Local devnet value |
|---|---|
| Network name | Joltzu Local |
| RPC URL | http://127.0.0.1:30400 |
| Chain ID | 31337 |
| Currency symbol | JOLT |
| Explorer | Leave empty unless you run a local explorer |
Choose the wallet's Add custom network flow and enter these values. Import one funded account printed by the devnet. Those keys are public development fixtures. Use a separate wallet profile for them.
Wallet-add request for an application
This example requires an injected EIP-1193 wallet provider and a running devnet:
await window.ethereum.request({
method: 'wallet_addEthereumChain',
params: [{
chainId: '0x7a69',
chainName: 'Joltzu Local',
nativeCurrency: {name: 'JOLT', symbol: 'JOLT', decimals: 18},
rpcUrls: ['http://127.0.0.1:30400'],
}],
});
An installed wallet extension can reach the local node under its extension origin. A web page's direct fetch to the local RPC is refused by its Origin policy. Use the wallet provider for browser interaction or a server-side application for direct RPC reads.
Public networks
Testnet and mainnet entries contain configured chain IDs and proposed hosts. Wait for verified network configuration and a public access policy before adding them to a wallet. Do not treat these entries as an instruction to move funds.
The current remote gateway requires a bearer credential. Ordinary browser wallets cannot attach that header to a configured RPC URL. A future wallet-compatible public endpoint needs an explicit deployment solution; until then use a local node, SSH tunnel, or a trusted proxy that supplies the credential.
